Fellow travellers, I have just been listening to Tony Abbott and Kevin Rudd "debating" the topic of health on the radio.

The former priest was his usual pugilistic self. I could have sworn he was going to lash out and throw a punch at several points in the standoff! He really is appalling, and I wouldn't be surprised if he arrived on his pushbike in his "budgie smugglers" to try and intimidate his opponent.

But I wasn't really listening to what Rudd was saying. And frankly, I'm not concerned with who "won" or "lost". I just think the whole issue is pointless. Ultimately it doesn't matter how much money is thrown at this issue, or how it is spent. Why? Because health is a spiritual issue. You only get sick if you have bad karma, after all.
